Secure Code Warrior (SCW) is a platform that helps developers level up their skills in secure coding. SCW asked us to create a flexible, relatable design system to connect with Developers (the end users) and CISOs (the tool stack decision makers) within large enterprises. We conducted a market situation analysis, completing a visual and verbal audit of the company and its competitors, and identified white space for SCW to elevate human prevention as the heart of secure coding future. We then carried out employee and customer interviews, and held strategy workshops with the Executive Leadership and Ops Teams.
We co-created a cohesive and compelling new brand blueprint for SCW including: brand strategy, narrative and comms messaging frameworks. The new brand centres on “inspiring intrinsic security”, allowing for positive learning experiences, and showcasing hyper relevant skill building in ways that inspire developers to embrace security.
The brand was launched internally and externally with multiple events and assets, including: Brand Identity Guidelines, an ongoing internal comms program, a manifesto video, bespoke wall mural, Town Hall event and video.
